Get to know Christine

I'm Christine, the face behind Virtuallair, and I'm about to spill the tea on why I'm the VA you never knew you needed (but totally do). So grab your beverage of choice – I'll be sipping on a long black, no sugar (because I'm sweet enough), and definitely no milk. Why ruin a perfectly fine piece of art with all that caramel hazelnut flavour stuff?

Oh, and did I mention I'm a total water snob? Yep, I'm that psychopathy person who can taste the difference in water. Judge me all you want, but once you've had alkaline water from a medical-grade machine, there's no going back! I’ll hook you up!

My journey in the biz world has been wilder than a rollercoaster designed by a caffeinated toddler. I've done everything from;

  • Calming the Drunk and Disorderly

  • Organising swanky dining events for the army (yeah, on actual mountains – and I even got to ride in a tank!)

  • Refreshing websites to be epic AF

  • Hosting Karaoke Nights

  • Planning dreamy weddings on tropical islands.

  • Working in the Mining industry in Fly In Fly Out, steel caps and hi-vis baby!

  • Championing inclusivity within the workplace

  • Designing awesome graphics for social media

  • Developing systems so slick they practically purr

  • Helping companies expand faster than my cats when they hear the treat bag rustle.

Speaking of cats, I've got three fluffy overloards who graciously allow me to live in their house. But I am totally obsessed with them. They own me and they know it! I get cuddles – but only on their terms like any good wild carnivore being held in captivity.

Now lets talk business, baby.

I'm all about supporting female coaches in health, wellness, and Network Marketing. Why? Because empowering women-owned small businesses makes my heart sing louder than me at karaoke night (and trust me, that's LOUD).

My passion for customer service started way back when I was a wee young 15-year-old working in a supermarket, and I've been perfecting this art form ever since.

Here's a hot take: the customer isn't always right.

Yeah, I said it, and I'll challenge anyone who disagrees! But here's the real tea – it's not about being right or wrong; it's about listening harder than a spy with a brand-new set of earbuds and finding the best solution for everyone.

Over the last 5 years, I've been chilling with the cool kids in supply chain and supporting clients all across Australia. I like to joke that I was a professionally paid problem solver—like MacGyver, but with better hair and fewer explosions—because that's exactly what I did!

But it was my stint in the defence sector as a Mess Manager that was a total game-changer. Under the guidance of an exceptional leader, I learned to believe in my capabilities, make autonomous decisions, and trust my instincts. These skills? They've been my secret weapon in transitioning to virtual assistance and building Virtuallair.

But what about life outside the job

First things first: I'm a Disney enthusiast with an optimism level that's probably illegal in some locations.

When I'm not catering to my cats every whim, you might catch me shaking my tailfeathers at a burlesque class, belting out power ballads at karaoke, or pretending to clean my house (which really means moving sh!t from one pile to another – don't act like you don't do it too).

Otherwise, I'm probably binge-watching movies, getting lost in a podcast rabbit hole, or attempting to rediscover my love for reading (spoiler alert: the book usually loses to a TV show, Movie or Travelling Video on YouTube).

My downtime is a wild ride through the entertainment multiverse. My browser history looks like it belongs to a squad of people with wildly different personalities that would stump even the most seasoned CIA Investigator on who they are looking for. From binge-watching comedies to getting lost in action-packed thrillers, from devouring romance smut novels to deep-diving into true crime podcasts – I'm all over the place, and I love it.

Some Fun Facts:
  • I'm a massive Marvel fangirl (Team Iron Man and Spiderman, obviously)

  • I firmly believe that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' social media banter is the epitome of #couplegoals, in fact Ryan Renolds period!

  • Don't even get me started on Deadpool. That fourth-wall-breaking, chimichanga-loving antihero is so awesome; he makes other superheroes look like they're at a kid's party wearing clip-on capes.

  • Need a pick-me-up? Legally Blonde is my go-to. Elle Woods is my spirit animal, and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise (but like, in a totally professional way).

  • Oh, and let's settle this once and for all: Die Hard is absolutely a Christmas movie. At least the first two are!

  • I'm a secret (not so secret gamer girl). I LOVE The Sims (31 creative ways to end a Sim's life, anyone?). I've been playing since I was 11 when it first came out. I also love Planet Zoo and Two Point Hospital—basically, if it's a simulation game, I'm in!

  • I'm a Kiwi living in Oz! Moved here when I was 20 and have been embracing the Aussie life ever since.

  • I'm a fur mama to three adorable rescue cats. They've turned me into a total cat person - I can't imagine life without them now!

  • I've got a secret dream of being a mermaid. As a kid, I practically lived in the ocean, but now I've got an unexplainable fear of swimming in it. Life's funny like that!

  • I did the FIFO life for almost 3 years and kinda loved every minute of it!

  • Karaoke is my jam! I even hosted weekly karaoke nights on Hamilton Island.

  • I'm on a mission to be financially independent and create freedom for my family. And help others do the same! No more 9-5 grind for this gal!

  • Organisation is my superpower - from admin to home life, if it can be structured or filed, I'm all over it.

  • I'm that annoyingly positive person your past employers probably warned you about. Too bubbly for customer service? Challenge accepted!

  • I'm a big believer in kindness and paying it forward. Finding the good in any situation is kinda my thing.

  • Oh, and just so you know - in my vocabulary, 'sh!t' isn't a swear word (it's been on billboards!)

Here's a fun paradox: I can relax while listening to true crime stories, but show me a video of a sick or abandoned animal? Cue the waterworks and watch me have an existential crisis about the state of the world.

And let's not forget – there's never a wrong time for a musical. Whether I'm knee-deep in sprucing up a website or unwinding after a long day, you might catch me breaking into song. Don't be surprised if our Zoom calls occasionally turn into impromptu karaoke sessions because you said "Don't Stop" and now I'm belting out Journey at the top of my lungs. Hey, life's a musical, and I'm just here to sing the soundtrack!

So, if you're looking for someone who can seamlessly transition from discussing business strategies to debating the best Marvel movies or musical numbers, you've hit the jackpot.

So, how did Virtuallair come to be

Well, when COVID hit and turned the world upside down, I discovered the magical realm of virtual assistance. I fell harder for it than I do for a fresh planner on New Year's Day. I took courses, built a side hustle, and then had an epiphany at a VA summit that my initial approach was about as "me" as kale chips at a pizza party.

Cut to my partner and I needing a change, so we rebranded and relaunched faster than you can say "pivot."

Boom! Virtuallair was born, ready to make your business run smoother than peanut butter. (Crunchy is superior, but smooth works better for analogies, don't @ me.)
